There’s never been a better time to join a choir! Everyone welcome!

Brighton Swing Choir is a community choir based in the sunny south coast seaside town of Brighton. Our choir is a great opportunity to sing, socialise, and meet new people, and we welcome bookings and new members all year round!

Formed in 2015, we sing four-part bespoke arrangements of songs from the swing and jazz era, from It Don’t Mean a Thing (if it ain’t got that Swing) to Georgia on My Mind.

We welcome everyone with a desire to sing.

There are no auditions and you don’t need to have any experience, just come along and get stuck in. Your first session is FREE so you can see if we’re the choir for you.

All you need to do to join is check the term dates and come along on the next rehearsal! You can join at any rehearsal, but towards the beginning of term is a great time because we will always be learning something new.

Why join a choir?

Singing in a group is proven to improve your mental health, confidence and happiness!

When you join Brighton Swing Choir you’ll get exclusive access to the online Swing Choir Area, with warm up videos plus audio tracks and scores for all the songs we perform. You don’t need to be able to read music to make the most of being a member, you can download and listen to your part to practice outside of rehearsals!

We’re a friendly bunch who do socials outside of rehearsals and after gigs, so joining Brighton Swing Choir is a great way to meet new people.

Term dates

We meet in the main hall, One Church Brighton, Florence Road BN1 6DL 7.30-9.15pm on Mondays. There are buses that stop nearby (Ditchling Road), and it’s a 4 minute walk from London Road (Brighton) Station. Join us for a drink afterwards

SPRING 2026

Monday 12th January – Monday 23rd March 2026. No session Monday 16th February (half term). 10 weeks

Fees: £100

SUMMER 2026

Monday 13th April 2026 – Monday 29th June 2026. No session Monday 25th May (half term) – please note there IS a session on Monday 4th May. 11 weeks

Fees: £110

*Please note term fees are payable at the start of each term (for new members, the amount will be calculated as to the remaining number of sessions that term less the free session). Payment is by bank transfer, or by card at Monday sessions. Fees are non-refundable. We do not offer a drop-in rate and encourage you to sign up for a term to get the full experience!
